Master-Class on Stakeholder Management at
Kyiv School of Economics

Last week, Anna Tarantsova, Consultant at Kesarev, held her regular master-class on effective communication with authorities at the Kyiv School of Economics for students of the professional development program "Government Relations (GR) Specialist."

During her lecture, Anna, a member of the faculty since the launce of the course, presented to students of the program the following topics:

  • The role of GR in organisations: why does a company need a GR function?
  • Communication tools: how the company should communicate with authorities and what is the most effective way to advance one's interests by engaging in such dialogue;
    • listing organisation's stakeholders,
    • identifying allies,
    • building collaboration between businesses, non-profit organisations, associations, and opinion leaders,
    • assessing influence and ranking of listed stakeholders.

Launched in 2021 by the Center of Excellence in Government Relations (GR) at the Kyiv School of Economics, the professional development program "GR Specialist" is the first comprehensive program for top and middle managers of private, public and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Ukraine which provides systematic and comprehensive knowledge in the field of cooperation with the authorities.

The current class is the second enrollment, consisting of 23 students from leading Ukrainian companies in the industrial, financial services, agriculture and food production, technology, energy, transportation and real estate sectors, as well as business associations, NGOs and consultancies.

The nine-module course on GR features presentations from leading GR experts in Ukraine, including former Cabinet members, senior officials of the Office of the President, members of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament), current and former senior managers of most influential companies in Ukraine as well as political and GR experts.

The Kyiv School of Economics is the leading private higher education institution in Ukraine, founded in 1996.
