Elena Korchagina
Senior Advisor
Elena is responsible for analysis of the regulatory environment and issues monitoring, with a focus on the agricultural/food, FMCG and IT/travel sectors.
Work experience
Prior to joining Kesarev in April 2019, Elena had an internship in the Department of Metallurgy at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. She drafted analytical reports on metallurgical import and export operations for the federal government and communicated with key Russian metallurgical companies.
In addition, she completed an internship at the State Duma's Committee on Labour, Social Policy and Veteran's Affairs. Her responsibility at the committee was to prepare written clarifications to citizens on adopted legislation in various spheres.
Previously, Elena gained valuable political affairs experience working for several successful regional election campaigns in the Irkutsk Region as a personal assistant to candidates and as a campaign activist.
Background
Elena attained a master's in Political Science from the Higher School of Economics (HSE) and holds a bachelor of International Relations from Kazan Federal University.
She was selected to represent Russia at the UN Vienna headquarters as a member of the youth delegation. She also participated in working sessions of the Assembly as the UN was undergoing a transformation of its Sustainable Development Goals.
As part of her studies, Elena completed a course on conflict analysis at the University of Vienna.

Along with her native Russian, Elena is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French and Chinese (Mandarin).
