Evgeny Korchevoy
Senior Counsel, Russia, Central Aisa & EAEU
Evgeny joined Kesarev in 2021 after a career of 20+ years in leading positions in government, business and within industry associations. Evgeny has extensive experience of engaging and liaising with the Russian Government and Parliament, and the Eurasian Economic Commission – the supranational executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Background

From 2019 to 2021, Evgeny headed the Cifragrotech Centre and provided services for digital projects in agriculture.

From 2016 to 2019, as a Full State Adviser of the Russian Federation, Evgeny served as Department Director at Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. He was responsible for developing policies and regulations for agriculture, food processing and construction machinery.

From 2006 to 2016, Evgeny managed the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery, the leading non-government organization of producers and sellers of agricultural machinery in Russia.

Responsibilities in Kesarev

  • Advising clients in Russia, Central Asia and the EAEU in the following areas:
> strategic planning of communications and risk assessment;
> international cooperation and regulation of domestic markets;
> customs and tariff regulation of foreign trade;
> regulation of innovation, investment and education.
  • Stakeholder management and outreach.

Education

In 2020, Evgeny was awarded an MBA in Digital Strategy from the Mail.ru Group. In 2005, he obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of Management and, in 2000, Evgeny a specialist degree in Economics and Management from Vologda State Technical University.

  • Recipient of Gratitude from the Government of Kyrgyzstan for development of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation.
  • Laureate of the Top-1000 Russian Managers award by Kommersant newspaper and the Russian Managers Association.
