Olga has ca. 20 years in financial service regulation in Russia and CIS – having amassed the knowledge of forming, leading, and then curating major innovations in securities market development, banking and in payments that has made the market as one most appealing and robust in the past 2 decades.

Olga is responsible for developing tailored strategies to leading global and regional companies with regards to financial services legislation and licensing regimes.

Professional experience

Olga joined Kesarev from her private practice, advising regional startups and well-established companies in CIS region markets - on financial legislation matters.

Prior to that Olga successfully led the passing of newly enacted licensing regime for Forex trading for a major international platform, Teletrade Group.

Prior to that, Olga was executive director of a major payment association founded by Visa, Mastercard and local players – launched to discuss and promote new innovations around payment services in the region.

Olga started her career as Specialist in the Ministry for Economic Development of Russian Federation, going through the ranks to become Advisor.

She moved to the Ministry of Finance where she was responsible for moving forward the “cashless drive”, kick-starting the “Russian Miracle” as well as adoption of the National Payment Bill in 2011.

Olga graduated in Finance from Financial Academy and in European Law from MGIMO as well as College of Europe in Bruges.
